The Australian Road Research Board established in the 1950s, started technology development as a means of being able to test certain research project theories in a practical sense. This led to the commercialization of the technology in the early 1990’s when the first survey equipment systems were sold internationally.
The Hawkeye platform was released in 1994 and is now the backbone of the majority of ARRB Systems product and software options. The Hawkeye platform is well-recognized within the industry, with over 80 systems operating around the world.
In late 2017, the technology, software and international operations divisions of the Australian Road Research Board were sold off and established as a separate corporate entity, with ARRB Group Inc. now a wholly owned subsidiary of ARRB Systems Pty Ltd.
